The web used to be a place full of personality, quirkiness, and fun. I would browse websites on groceries for hours. Stumble across someone’s final fantasy 7 fan site, covered in weird animated gifs and playing a song from the game.
The internet had wonder. Intrigue. Personality. Soul.
Now everyone is trapped in a boring profile. Our creations are stuck in a grid. Instead of exploring we just slurp down a feed.
We’ve lost the beauty of the open web. Where everyone had a home. Where everyone was welcome. Where we created for ourselves. Not for views or likes. Just for the joy of it.
